Masters Research Project

A masters research project funded by the St. Michael's Hospital and the University of Toronto for the purposes of educating surgical residents. The animation discusses the anatomical relationships and the surgical approaches and techniques involved in removing pituitary tumours that have grown laterally into the cavernous sinus. The details in this circumstance are particularly important as this is an area of the brain with a dense network of sensitive nerves and vascular structures.
